Our Commitment

House of Air, LLC is committed to ensuring that its website, houseofair.com, is accessible to people with disabilities. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Technical Remediation — April 2025

In April 2025, House of Air completed a comprehensive manual accessibility audit and remediation of houseofair.com. The following improvements were implemented site-wide:

  • Color contrast: All body text, link, and UI element colors now meet the WCAG 4.5:1 minimum contrast ratio for normal text and 3:1 for large text.
  • Keyboard navigation: A skip-to-content link is present on every page. All interactive elements have visible focus indicators meeting 3:1 contrast.
  • Landmark regions: Every page uses proper ARIA landmark roles (banner, main, contentinfo, navigation) for screen reader navigation.
  • Heading structure: Page heading hierarchies (h1–h4) are logically ordered with no skipped levels across all key pages.
  • Image alternative text: All meaningful images include descriptive alt attributes; decorative images are marked alt="".
  • Link and button names: All icon-only links and buttons include aria-label text for screen readers.
  • ARIA markup: All aria-controls, aria-labelledby, and aria-describedby attributes reference valid element IDs.
  • Carousel controls: Slide navigation buttons include accessible labels (aria-label="Previous slide" / aria-label="Next slide").
  • Decorative icons: All Font Awesome decorative icons are hidden from assistive technologies using aria-hidden="true".

Accessibility Features

In addition to the technical remediations above, houseofair.com offers the UserWay Accessibility Widget, which provides additional display and navigation preferences including text size adjustment, high contrast mode, and more.

Known Limitations

We continue to work toward full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance. Some third-party content (including event booking widgets and calendar integrations) may present accessibility challenges that are outside our direct control. We are working with our vendors to address these issues.
