Let’s cover some of the benefits our park has to offer to our customers.
Physical Fitness
Childhood obesity is a serious problem in the United States, putting children and adolescents at risk for poor health. Obesity prevalence among children and adolescents is still too high.
For children and adolescents aged 2-19 years1:
- The prevalence of obesity was 18.5% and affected about 13.7 million children and adolescents.
- Obesity prevalence was 13.9% among 2- to 5-year-olds, 18.4% among 6- to 11-year-olds, and 20.6% among 12- to 19-year-olds. Childhood obesity is also more common among certain populations.
- Hispanics (25.8%) and non-Hispanic blacks (22.0%) had higher obesity prevalence than non-Hispanic whites (14.1%).
- Non-Hispanic Asians (11.0%) had lower obesity prevalence than non-Hispanic blacks and Hispanics.
A study from the CDC is frightening to think about. Even more frightening now is the effect the pandemic has had on this number. How much more screen time and couch surfing have our kids experienced to this point. So what is a simple solution that can help? Answer: jumping at a Trampoline Park!
- Did you know that trampolining is 68% more effective than your half-hour jog?
NASA’s Journal of Applied Physiology backs this up, showing how much more efficient rebound exercise is compared to jogging.
It may sound too good to be true, but the health benefits of jumping on a trampoline are no myth.
Even a study by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) found that a 20-minute trampoline workout routine burns as many calories as running 10 km/h for the same amount of time.
Away From Extreme Heat
House of Air is fully equipped with over 8 commercial-grade HVAC units that provide heavenly sent cool air while the family enjoys the park. Most youth sports governing bodies have recommendations that cancel or delay games and practice in extreme heat conditions. Living in Texas, we all know the battle with summer heat, and House of Air Trampoline & Ninja Park’s air-conditioned facility provides a safe place to beat the Texas dog days of Summer.
Hand-Eye Coordination Improvements
House of Air Trampoline & Ninja Park is the only trampoline park with backboard mounted cardio walls (Trampoline Whack-A-Mole). This feature builds hand-eye coordination and gamifies the trampoline bouncing experience. This attraction can stimulate a huge range of functional exercises and motor skills. Ideal for individual use and group activities, where the built-in timer keeps everything on track and the intensity high. Every routine is a game, challenging users to beat their previous best score, their friend’s or the leaderboard. It’s a great way of introducing competition and goal setting. The attraction can help build relationships between players and teams as they try to reach a top score.
Parents Can Safely Watch Kids
House of Air Trampoline & Ninja Park follows all local and federal guidelines in terms of safety and is also ASTM certified. Our propriety design layout allows for jumpers to maintain safe distancing plus the café seating of over 45 seats and 18 free-standing party tables allow us to provide distance for all of our customers.
Socialization
One of our best qualities is the ability to provide children and parents the option of unstructured FREE PLAY. In today’s society, the amount of free play children get has been shrinking for the last several decades. Children need a safe environment to learn social skills and develop into maturing children. In past generations, play was a child-initiated, open-ended activity. But for many kids today, play has become adult-directed and highly structured and has a significant impact on children’s physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth. Learn more about the benefits and consequences of not getting unstructured FREE PLAY.
